Smart Access is a warehouse operations tool designed to enhance workforce productivity through training, performance management, and AI-powered data analysis. The product suite includes a web portal and a mobile app.
The Smart Access Web Portal is a central hub for performance analysis, content editing, and workforce management. Its primary users include warehouse leaders, operational managers, learning and development managers, and instructional designers.
My contribution to the web portal mainly include the development of the training reports, the collaboration tool, the notification center and the improvements of the content editor.
Throughout the journey we got lots of help from power users and subject matter experts. Gathering feedback from them is a little bit different from regular user interviews. Learning to communicate with them and manage a lasting relationship with them has helped me grow significantly as a designer.
The Smart Access web portal offers three main functionalities:
Dashboard Reporting: The comprehensive reporting suite covers every aspect of warehouse operations, including usage, training, performance, certificate, feedback, and surveys.
Content Editing: The Smart Access content editor supports multiple content types, from the standard markdown editor, video editor, to custom editors like the observation builder.
Workforce Management: Managing users, their groups, and permissions is particularly challenging for retail giants with 300+ warehouses in a single division. The Smart Access Portal provides a one-stop shop for managing user roles, permissions, job functions, and availability.
